“Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not therefore partakers with them. for you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth) Proving what is acceptable to the Lord.” – Ephesians 5:6-10
(Edit) - This verse was just a reminder to me that there are so many different doctrines and thoughts going on in our world that are trying to get us to stray from our Lord. “Let no man decieve you with vain words” is the main part that got my attention. I believe that God wants us to guard our hearts and minds from thinking that is contrary to his Word. He wants us to renew our minds and think on things that are righteous before him so that we will have discernment between worldly thinking and godly thinking.
I don’t know. Maybe that doesn’t seem to make sense next to the verse, but that was what I got out of it and I guess it doesn’t really matter as long as that’s what the Lord wanted me to see in it :) .
