Papa and Amma left this morning. I wish they could have stayed longer, but, I am very thankful for the few days we did have with them.

‘Amma’ – I guess you are referring to your mother. This word to refer to “mother’ is used in the south of india. How did you come to call your mother ‘amma’ ?
(When i am stressed out, i read blogs of Christians. That is how i came across yours. It helps me de-stress, makes me realise there are more people of my own kind.)

Actually Amma is my grandmother. I started calling her that when I was very little because I couldn’t say ‘Grandma’.
