Yay! Papa and Amma are here for a couple of days . It is so good to see them. Papa surprised Amma with a couple of days to come down here for her birthday and we are very glad he did!  Tomorrow we will celebrate Amma’s 60th birthday with a frozen cappuccino pie as requested

My Bible courses came!! Yay! I can’t wait to get started.

After two or three months of planning in secret, and trying very hard to not let the cat out of the bag, today was finally the day…

Today was the day to surprise my wonderful brother, John, with the appearance of his best friend from NY, Andrew. 

 Dad left from work and drove to Lexington to pick up Andrew from the airport and then he  swung back around to pick me up from the office. We drove home and Andrew got down as far as he could so John, who was playing basketball with another friend, Cody, wouldn’t see him. We got him through the house and down to the basement garages where John was.  I wish you could have seen John’s face when Andrew surprised him by walking out of the garage and asking if he could play basketball with John too. He flipped out!!! (in a good way )  All this time he had absolutely no clue that Andrew was coming.  It was so much fun to see two best friends be brought together again.

I would like to wish a very happy and blessed 40th birthday to my amazing mother, Elli!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you so much.

Matthew is now rolling over from his stomach to his back! I can’t believe he’s already five months old. Where is the time going?

Leaving Thailand was harder than I ever imagined that it would be. I honestly felt like I was leaving family or something. Like my Dad says, “Love wants to be together”.

The Lord truly did a work in all of our hearts. Dad and I left feeling so refreshed and I think our father/daughter relationship was also made stronger.   I fell in love with the people we were with. There are some new things that I have been praying about. One of those is the possibility of going back to Thailand for a couple to a few months helping the team there. If I did go back I would definitely be under the covering of some very godly people. At this point, going back is a pretty big IF though, because it may not be what the Lord has in store for me and my family. One thing I learned on the trip is that I still have a ways to go in completely trusting God with my future and my dreams. I am also realizing that He may put dreams in us for a season to help put our hearts in the place He wants them.
