• Scripture Verse of the Month: 1 Timothy 2: 1-5

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus...

Facebook Note from my Wonderful Father

This was a message written on my Facebook wall yesterday from my Dad.

I love you… you are a woman of God and one of the greatest joys of my life.

Instructions from your father:

Love Jesus, despise mediocrity, be excellent in all you do, never seek popularity, pray for wisdom, live like Jesus is right there with you, be modest, remember your wedding day, live life with passion, make the most of each moment, don’t … Read Morebe afraid to fail, laugh at yourself, think positive, remember it’s friends that make you rich, be kind always, take long walks, never deny Christ, hang around people you want to be like, work hard, read books about your heros, be generous, spend time everyday in private reflection, live to impress no one, lift others daily, talk about Jesus, dance to the heartbeat of God,love people, commit every breath that you take-every beat of your heart-and every drop of your blood to Jesus and His service.

Do these things, and you’ll really be living.

I’ll miss you when you go to Thailand. (Tears of joy and sadness are on my cheeks as I write)

Dad – if you’re reading this, I want you to know that I love you so much and I take everything you wrote, to heart.  Though I may not express this to you enough, I want you to know that I deeply respect you and appreciate you.

I will miss you very much too when I am in Thailand. I’m not going to like being out from under your covering, but, I realize that the Lord is the Almighty Father and He has and will continue to keep me under His covering.  You have told me that you and Mom have prepared yourselves from the start to say goodbye to me. I too am learning to do the same thing with you both and my brothers. It’s not easy! 🙂 But Jesus is worthy!

Thank you so much for pouring yourself into me all these years. I hope that one day I will have as much wisdom, discernment , love for others and for God as you.

Your Loving Daughter,
