I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus...

Amma’s Birthday

Papa and Amma left this morning. I wish they could have stayed longer, but, I am very thankful for the few days we did have with them.

Here are some pictures that I took yesterday while we celebrated Amma’s birthday.

Papa and Me 🙂

P.S. $1500 has been raised for the 1200 people in the Displaced Peoples Camp in Sudan!

  1. I am curious.
‘Amma’ – I guess you are referring to your mother. This word to refer to “mother’ is used in the south of india. How did you come to call your mother ‘amma’ ?

(When i am stressed out, i read blogs of Christians. That is how i came across yours. It helps me de-stress, makes me realise there are more people of my own kind.)

    have a nice day!

  2. Hi Arun! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Actually Amma is my grandmother. I started calling her that when I was very little because I couldn’t say ‘Grandma’.
