Overcoming my frustrations with…

…Sewing.  Yes, I FINALLY took my sewing machine to get fixed and now it is working perfectly. Yay!!  Knowing that the machine is now in good working order, it helped me to get back into the sewing mode.  I went to the store and found some really cute fabric and got practicing on an apron again. It’s not perfect by all means, but pretty good. I would definitely get heavier fabric next time and I think that I would add some lace or something for more detail. Practice makes perfect, right?!  Speaking of, my other apron that I was working on a loooong time ago still needs some help 🙂 . I need to look it over again and see where I went wrong with it.

Here are some pictures of the fabric I chose and of the apron I made. Please tell me what you think!

  1. The fabrics are beautiful. Great job on the apron!!

  2. Love those fabrics.

What kind of machine do you have? I have a lovely Bernina, and I heart it.

  3. Thank you very much for your kind comments!

Chocolatechic – I have a Singer and I am just now starting to get attached to it now that it is working properly 🙂

  4. The fabric is yummy! Too nice for aprons 😉 They would make gorgeous summer dresses!

My mum had a Singer for years and years (and so did my gran before her). Hubby bought me a Janome a couple of years ago and I have to say it’s done me proud.

  5. What an adorable apron!! Looks like you did a great job! All of the material is so pretty too.
