About Me

5496_106951669036_591314036_2175078_2944984_nHi everybody! My name is Megan. Here are some facts about me:

My heart simply belongs to Jesus. My life is really His, it is not my own.

I am the daughter of the most wonderful parents in the world, Tom & Elli, of whom I find great joy, honor, and fulfillment in being under the guidence and authority of.   I have an older sister named, Krystal, and three younger brothers, John(16), Jeremiah(3) and Matthew(1).

I have many hopes and dreams for the future, such as being a Proverbs 31 wife and mother, but, I am humbly willing to lay them all aside if they are not in the Lord’s will for my life. At this point I also believe that the Lord is leading me be on the mission field specifically in South Thailand where I am on a committed one year stay with very good friends of our family’s.

I enjoy reading books, riding horses, playing with my cat and dog, sitting quietly and thinking, listening to the ocean, taking a walk through the woods, catching crawdads in a creek, picking flowers for my mom, baking, crocheting, spending time with my family and friends, wearing flip-flops, writing letters and blog posts, and hunting with my dad and brother. And oh,I think I’ll add that my favorite sports are bull riding and UK college basketball : )

It is my hope that by getting to know me, others will be encouraged in their walks with the Lord and will desire to draw closer to Him.

In Christ,

Megan

  9. I’m so glad I stumbled upon your blog! You are an encouragement to me in ways you probably would have never guessed! I am a mom (desiring to be the Proverbs 31 woman), new to homeschooling my 5th grader and am so encouraged to see that you are a homeschool graduate! I have many peers discouraging me from homeschooling thru highschool, so it’s great to see a young woman (homeschool graduate) with such a heart to serve God!! That is our aim with our daughter, first and foremost. Thanks for the encouragement and may God bless you!!

  10. Hi Justine! Wow, thank you so much for your kind comment! I am so glad you stumbled upon my blog! There are good and bad days that come along with homeschooling like anyone else who may go to a public or private school, but I think that you will find that your time was well spent at the end of it all. My mother is much more capable of giving you advice or encouragement than I could ever be if you ever desire to talk to anyone. But feel free to ask any questions if you have any! God bless you!

  11. Hey Megan! My name is Emily Hechler and I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I, too, have the dream of opening a ranch just like Crystal Peaks someday. I am currently a college student studying psychology. I have a passion and love for horses along with children. I just thought I would encourage you to keep your dream alive! I know that the Lord has shown me this is what I am to do with my life, I am just patiently waiting for it to come true. God Bless and Happy New Year!!

  12. Thanks so much, Emily. 🙂 Let’s keep eachother in prayer as we do our best follow God’s will for our lives.
